Why is it so dang hard to finish a race on all these racing games I play? Granted racing isn't my strong point but even on the easier track I have never been able to even finish a stupid race, let alone try to win.

Yeah the old school arcade racers are a total bitch to play. I'm not big on racing games so I don't have the skill or interest to build that skill. I kinda want to see how my girlfriend does with these older games. She loves any game you can drive a car in and regularly whoops my ass at any racing game.

There is something charming about them though. I really like Rad Racer, and there was a DOS game called "Death Rally" I was fond of also. I have been eying an Atari 2600 game called Enduro which is basically an endurance racing game from the early 80's. I think the last racing game that I went crazy for was the very first Gran Turismo.
